Although FK Bregalnica Stip was relegated into the 3rd League East, they regained a spot in the 2nd League and will play there next season as well. FK Alumina Skopje is the team that gave up their place to Bregalnica.
Bregalnica Stip finished on the 15th place with 37 points, one less than the 14th placed Lokomotiva who played into the play-offs and two points less than Nov Milenium, Alumina and Madzari Solidarnost who were placed from 11th to the 13th place.
Alumina had problems with their stadium as the Football federation of Macedonia clearly stated that next season teams that don’t have proper stadiums wont be allowed to play their matches into their home stadiums and will have to play on another. The stadium of Alumina doesn’t have any stands and because of the club’s bad financial situation they couldn’t afford to build it or pay rent to play on another stadium. That’s why Alumina sold its 2nd League spot to Bregalnica from Stip. Unofficial sources are stating that Bregalnica have payed 15.000 Euros to Alumina.
Bregalnica Stip had many complaints for last season’s finish. Referee decisions and most of all the the match between Lokomotiva and Belasica in the last round who ended with an unbelievable turn-out and from 1:2 finished 3:2 for Lokomotiva which meant that they were in the play-offs and that Bregalnica was relegated.
Alumina had been promoted from the 3rd League North two seasons ago and this was their 1st season in the 2nd League after couple of years.
Meanwhile, Bregalnica got a few new players. Goalkeeper Ljupco Kolev, defender Vlatko Novakov and striker Ivan Varadinov joined the club.
