Citing an injury, goalkeeper Dejan Stojanović has withdrawn from the U21 national team for the upcoming friendly against Cyprus.
The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) was given the news of the Dejan Stojanović injury from Bologna sports director Roberto Zanzi so he was withdrawn from the Macedonian U21 national team for the upcoming friendly against Cyprus on 6 September 2011. The injury is not believed to be serious as Stojanović joined Bologna earlier in the summer. Dejan is only 18 years old but is already a member of the U21 team because of his talent. He is expected to be the starting keeper for the Bologna Primavera team this season.
FFM also announced a replacement for Stojanović in Metalurg keeper Andreja Efremov. That means the three keepers for the Cyprus friendly are Filip Gacevski, Stole Dimitrievski, and now Andreja Efremov. Efremov will turn 19 in about a week and usually rotates between the Macedonian U19 and U21 national teams.
