It was announced today on the websites of both Parma and Crotone that Stefan Ristovski will be sent on loan to the Serie B club with an option for Crotone to purchase him outright after the season.  This was a bit confusing since the official website of Foggia and several Italian newspapers reported several weeks ago that Ristovski had joined Foggia on loan from Parma.  Even the Foggia official website just recently on 1 July 2011 had an article to reiterate the acquisition of Ristovski.  However, it now seems that Ristovski will spend next year on loan to Crotone and that might be best for both Parma and Stefan because he will face better competition with Crotone in Serie B as opposed to Foggia who plays in the Italian third division.

Crotone finished in 11th place this past season in Serie B.  They had numerous players on the roster last year who were loaned from bigger clubs in order for the younger players to gain experience.  Ristovski played as a RB for the Parma Primavera team this past season although he is deployed as a right midfielder or winger for the youth national teams of Macedonia.  He was no longer eligible to play for the Primavera team because he was born in 1992 and for this upcoming season, a player must be born in 1993 or later to be eligible for the Primavera teams across Italy.  Stefan is the captain of the Macedonian U19 team and he has also been summoned to both the U21 national team and the senior national team.  He was called up for the recent EURO 2012 qualifyer against Ireland last month but he was an unused substitute during that game.  Ristovski began his career with Vardar before he joined Parma soon after he turned 18.
