The article stated that Ternana sporting director Vittorio Cozzella followed Ristovski closely during his time with Frosinone, and the interest grew after his good performances.  The newspaper mentioned that Ternana has already made an offer for Ristovski and is now awaiting an answer from Parma.  Allegedly, Ristovski would like to stay in Frosinone while Parma would prefer to send him on loan to a more competitive league.  Ternana won promotion to Serie B this past season after finishing in first place of the Lega Pro Prima Divisione – Group A, formerly known as Serie C1.

The 20-year-old Stefan Ristovski made 12 league appearances for Frosinone in the recently concluded 2011/12 season.  Stefan joined Frosinone on loan back in January of this year after he did not receive much playing time at Crotone, the club that Parma first sent Ristovski on loan during the first half of the season.  He was deployed primarily at right-back and his good form with Frosinone also caught the eye of the Macedonian manager John Toshack who included Ristovski in the senior squad for the friendlies against Portugal and Angola in late May.  Stefan performed well in the Portugal friendly where he played all 90 minutes and did an effective job of slowing down Cristiano Ronaldo.  However, he then suffered an injury and missed the next friendly against Angola as well as the two important qualifiers for the U21 national team in early June.
