Slavco Georgievski moves to Azerbaijan

alt Macedonian midfielder Slavco Georgievski moves to Azerbaijan where he signed for Neftçi Bakı PFK.

After only half a season in Cypriot club Ethnikos Achnas, Slavco Georgievski moved to the most successful Azeri club Neftçi from the capital city of Baku. Georgievski impressed on the friendly match of the Macedonian national team against Azerbaijan played in Austria at the beginning of this month and it didn’t took long for Neftçi to send an offer for him. He signed a two-years long contract and he will wear the number 6.

Slavco Georgievski is born on 30 March 1980 and started his career in Vardar. After that he played for Makedonija Gjorce Petrov, Romanian club Cluj, Sloga Jugomagnat, Cementarnica 55 and Bulgarian clubs Vihren and Slavia Slofia. In the winter of 2008 he was loaned out for six months to Chinese club Zhejiang Lücheng. In June 2008 Georgievski returned to Slavia and in February 2009, he completed the move to Korean side Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i. Before signing for Neftçi, he spent six months in Ethnikos Achnas. Georgievski has 16 appearances for the Macedonian national team.
