After deciding not to renew his contract with Neftçi, midfielder Slavcho Georgievski quickly found a new club as he inked a 1 year deal with Inter Bakı.

The deal was confirmed on Inter Bakı’s official website as Slavcho Georgievski will remain in the city of Bakı but switch from Neftçi to Inter Bakı.  Georgievski was a fan favorite at Neftçi but he will now continue his career for an in-city rival.  Inter Bakı finished in 3rd place this past season and will participate in the UEFA Europa League qualifications later in the summer. 

Georgievski will hope to have more luck at Inter Bakı than Filip Despotovski, the last Macedonian international to feature for that club.  Despotovski’s lone season with Inter Bakı was marred by several injuries before his eventual departure after just one year.
