After yesterday’s two quarterfinal cup surprises when second league sides Shkëndija 77 and Ohrid Lychnidos eliminated the most trophy-winning cup winners Rabotnichki (4 titles) and Vardar (6 titles), today second-leaguer Detonit Plachkovica failed to repeat the sensation.
The team from Radovish lost convincingly 3:0 to Sileks, who are waiting for the title since 2021. The Kratovo based team, with one goal in the first half and two in the second half, cleared up all the dilemmas and secured a place in the semifinals. Although the host was Detonit Plachkovica, the match was played in Kratovo because the stadium in Radovish does not have the conditions to install all the necessary cameras for the VAR system.

In the semis Sileks will play against Ohrid Lychnidos, the current leader in the second league, who yesterday eliminated holder Vardar on penalties after scoring a goal in the last minute to equalize on 1:1.
Sileks will fight for their sixth time to play in the grand final, while the Ohrid team hopes to make history and play for the trophy for the first time.
As a reminder, the second semi-final pair will be known on 18 March when Struga and Shkëndija will play their quarter-final duel, a match that was postponed because the Tetovo team has a return leg playoff match in the UEFA Conference League tomorrow. The winner of this duel in the semi-final will meet Shkëndija 77 from Arachinovo, who yesterday eliminated Rabotnichki with a 3:1 win.
