Signori: Pandev is Lazio’s Kaka

Goran PandevPandev is regarded as one of the best forwards currently playing in Serie A, and while his team have struggled this season, he has been in wonderful form, scoring nine times in Serie A and four times in the Champions League.

“He is the Kaka of Lazio,” said Signori, who scored 107 goals in 152 appearances for the Romans between 1992 and 1997, finishing Serie A Capocannoniere three times.
"For technical quality I do not believe it is blasphemous to say that Pandev is our Kakà,” said 1974 Scudetto winner D’Amico.
"Of course, he still needs to grow a lot in that position, but I think his future is precisely in that position.”

Pandev took up the unusual role of ‘trequartista’ in Saturday night’s 1-1 draw with Milan at San Siro, and was largely impressive. The Macedonian has spent most of his career up until now as a centre forward, but with Rolando Bianchi and Tommaso Rocchi also at Lazio, there are signs this could be a regular position for him.
"The comparison with Kakà is a correct one. Pandev makes the difference,” Signori concluded.
