The decision was made due to the improper behavior of the fans and the failure to observe a minute of silence during the Shkëndija – Brera Strumica match in Round 25 of the 1.MFL. That means that the current top flight leaders will play with no fans in the rest of this season as they have 4 home matches remaining (against Voska Sport, Shkupi, Rabotnichki and Sileks) with the last two being against their title rivals. Additionally, they won’t have fans in their semifinal first leg match of the Macedonian Cup against Struga.
In addition, Shkëndija has been sanctioned with a fine of 5,000 euros due to poor organization of the match.
The disciplinary committee also decided that the delegate of the Shkëndija – Brera Strumica match, Goce Shopovski from Struga, will be suspended for 6 six months from performing any function in football due to failure to comply with the prescribed organizational protocols.
The delegate of the match in Tetovo did not take the necessary actions regarding the behavior of the fans and did not act according to the protocols for organizing matches, which also provide for the emptying of the stands in such cases.
Shkëndija receives an automatic fine of 1,000 euros for preventing an official cameraman from performing his job.
“FFM will not tolerate any club in such or similar cases and expects maximum responsibility from all clubs and officials.
The match delegates have clearly prescribed protocols and all necessary instruments for action in such situations. FFM gives them full support in their application and determination in their actions.
Racist, nationalist or any form of discriminatory cheering will not be tolerated and will be strictly sanctioned in accordance with applicable regulations.” – communicated the Football Federation of Macedonia.
Shkëndija informed about the fine without commenting it.
