Srecko Katanec named the list of 22 players for the upcoming EURO 2008 Group E qualifying matches against Croatia and Estonia. Veterans Artim Sakiri and Igor Jancevski are recalled in the squad.

Macedonia will host Croatia on 17/11 and will travel away to Israel on 21/11. That’s why Srecko Katanec was forced to call up more players in the squad, but again surprised with his choice. He explained that at this moment there is no space for Sakiri and Jancevski in the team, but he called them for improving the atmosphere between the players. But some time ago he was convincing the journalists that on his trainings there’s no space for players who are not ready enough for his team. His other reason for not calling Nderimi Nedjipi was that the players from the Macedonian league are not good enough for the national team, but now he recalled Artim Sakiri who is member of the last placed Shkendija.
