Boban Babunski, who was dismissed as manager of the Macedonian U21 national team earlier this month, could soon have a new team as he is the favorite to take charge of FK Rad in Serbia.  “Žurnal” reports that it should be known over the next week whether Rad and Babunski can agree terms on a contract for Boban to take over as manager.

Rad barely avoided relegation this past season after getting past Metalac in the relegation play-off.  They won over two legs which ensured that Rad would stay in Serbia’s top flight for the 2014-15 season.  Summer preparations will soon start so Rad would like to name a new manager over the next week.

“Žurnal” said that Rad’s management has identified Babunski as its top candidate.  Boban was in charge of the Macedonian U21 national team for 5 years, before FFM decided to let him go earlier this month.

Speaking of the U21 manager, the Macedonian federation unveiled 5 qualifications that the next U21 manager must possess on their official website.

Those 5 qualifications are as follows:

1) Have a valid UEFA Pro License.
2) Over the past 3 years, the desired candidate must have been a manager of a Macedonian First League team or any other youth national team for at least 1 year.
3) Knowledge of at least one foreign language (whether it be English, French or German).
4) Provide a résumé
5) Write a motivational letter
