Another recognition for Rabotnicki by the IFFHS as the Macedonian club is named the “Best club in the World for July 2011!”
The winning streak of five games in the Europa League, from which four were in July, plus a win against Bregalnica Stip in the first round of the domestic league were more than enough for the International Federation of Football History & Statistics to name Rabotnicki as the “Best club in the World for July 2011”.
In the past several years, Rabotnicki was the only Macedonian club with significant ratings in the IFFHS system which is also recognized by FIFA.
Monthly best clubs for 2011:
January: Milan (Italy)
February: Benfica (Portugal)
March: Porto (Portugal)
April: Santos (Brazil)
May: Barcelona (Spain)
June: Vélez Sarsfield (Argentina)
July: Rabotnicki (Macedonia)
Many will say that this ranking outcome is because of the fact that the big clubs aren’t active in this period, but the recognition is still big as instead of Rabotnicki, it could have been another active club. Regardless, Rabotnicki’s name will remain among the likes of Milan, Porto, Barcelona, Santos and be remembered as one of the best clubs in 2011.
Meanwhile, on the ranking list for all the clubs in the world, Rabotnicki moved to the 149th place with 99 points, same as Maccabi Haifa from Israel. To view the complete rankings, click here.
