After a goalless 90 minutes, Rabotnichki defeated Vardar 4:1 on penalties to claim the Macedonian Youth Cup trophy.

Under wet conditions, the final of the Macedonian Youth Cup took place today at the Boris Trajkovski stadium in Skopje.  It was a tale of two halves as Vardar was the better side in the first half, while Rabotnichki took control after the break.  However, neither side could reach the back of the net and it remained 0:0 after 90 minutes.

Since the youth games in Macedonia do not feature extra time, the game went directly into a penalty shootout to determine the winner.  Rabotnichki prevailed 4:1 on penalties with the winning side’s spot kicks being converted by Viktor Angelov, Darko Velkovski, Demir Imeri and Martin Batandjioski, while Vardar managed to net just one penalty and miss twice, with opposing keeper Damjan Shishkovski saving the decisive spot kick to propel Rabotnichki to lift the Macedonian Youth Cup trophy.
