In the domestic cup semi-finals, Rabotnichki and Teteks beat Renova and Turnovo, respectively, with the same result, 2:1, in the first leg games.
In both games, the home teams held 2:0 advantages which in the end they failed to maintain. Rabotnichki was far better than Renova in the first half and missed several opportunities to break the deadlock before eventually scoring from the spot. Goran Siljanovski sent a ball into the box which Medjit Neziri played with his hand. Stephan Vujčić successfully converted the penalty for a 1:0 lead. Almost 10 minutes into the second half, Marjan Altiparmakovski doubled the lead after Suad Sahiti found him in the box. Renova managed to pull one back through Izair Emini after a counter-attack. It was a vital goal since it came on the road. The home team could have easily scored a third, but substitute Kire Markoski was unlucky as his shot hit the crossbar. In the 4th minute of injury time, Markoski got a direct red card after a bad tackle towards Burak Sadiki.
The second game was played on a neutral venue as Teteks hosted the game at the Boris Trajkovski stadium in Skopje instead of their Gradski stadium in Tetovo. Still, Teteks managed to win thanks to a brace by Miroslav Jovanoski. He scored three minutes before halftime and then two minutes into the second half. In the 65th minute, Radko Mutafchiyski scored for the visitors to cut the lead to 2:1. Three minutes later, Teteks keeper Vanche Manchevski saved a penalty by Bojan Najdenov. Teteks also got a penalty in the 5th minute of stoppage time, but Cvetan Churlinov failed to score as well.
The return legs are scheduled for the 15th of April.
