Rabotnichki beat Vardar in the Derby of Skopje

Rabotnichki came back from a 0:1 lead and beat Vardar in the Derby of Skopje.

Leaders Vardar suffered its fourth seasonal defeat and first at home. It was Rabotnichki who beat them in today’s Derby of Skopje. Vardar took the lead through Predrag Rangjelovikj just one minute before half-time.

In the Second half Rabotnichki made a comeback. It was Emir Aden who tied the score in the 68th minute after Bazhe Ilijoski assisted. Than in the 89th minute the visitors got a penalty after Ivan Ristovski was brought down by Vardar’s keeper Dejan Milić who for the tackle got a red card. Because Vardar had already made three substitutions, center back Vladimir Dimitrovski step up in the role of goalkeeper and was lucky as Krste velkoski hit the post from the penalty spot.

However, Rabotnichki still managed to get the 3 points. In the injury time Dino Najdoski scored with a header after a great cross by Blagoja Todorovski. After this defeat Vardar lost the 5 points difference and now they are on just plus 2 in front of Horizont Turnovo.

The rest of the Round 21 games were played earlier today.
