Preview: Round 21

altRound 21 is finally next in line and despite table positions all eyes are turned to the biggest derby in Macedonian football  – Vardar against Pelister.

Vardar – Pelister

After couple of reschedulings the derby can begin. Vardar against Pelister and everything is said. Argentina have Boca Juniors and River Plate, Spain have Barcelona and Real Madrid, Macedonia have Vardar and Pelister. Never mind the table positions, never mind the finances – this match does not need particular preview. It is the biggest derby in Macedonia and a match that speaks for itself. Sunday, 14.00 CET arena Philip II of Macedon, the place where You should be.

Metalurg – Renova

Metalurg against Renova is a derby from the upper part of the table and derby that can have direct effect on the race for the champions. Third-placed Metalurg hosts first-placed Renova. Metalurg started good in the second part, Renova as well and this match can be a real picture of where Macedonian football is at the moment.

Pobeda – Rabotnicki

Rabotnicki travels to Prilep to meet Pobeda. After the win over Vardar, Rabotnicki has something to build upon in the champions race against Renova, while Pobeda has two defeats in two matches this spring and needs these points badly. Rabotnicki is -5 behind Renova and needs points as well if they are to keep up in the race for the first place.

Teteks – Sileks

Teteks won over Turnovo away from home, while lost to Pelister at home in the opening two rounds in the spring part of the season, while Sileks destroyed Turnovo in an excellent game but failed to keep the 0-1 lead in Tetovo against Renova and eventually lost 3-1. Now, they are once again visiting Tetovo, this time against strengthened Teteks and will need to change tactics from last match if they are to bring points back home.
