Preview: Macedonian Cup Round 1

Round 1The new season of the Macedonian Cup starts on Wednesday with 13 out of 16 matches to be played. The cup holder Metalurg will also start their quest for defending the title.

On Wednesday, 17 August, the one-legged games will take place across Macedonia. 13 of the planned 16 games will be played, one is postponed, while two are cancelled due to the cancellation of Prespa and Karbinci.

The game Mogila vs Rabotnicki is postponed due to Rabotnicki’s clash with Lazio in the Europa League play-off.

Tikves advanced directly into the next round because its opponent Prespa cancelled their participation in the Cup. Also, today Karbinci decided not to play so therefore its oponent 11 Oktomvri goes directly in the next round as well.
