The 2013/14 Cup adventure starts today with 14 games on the schedule and two cancellations.
11 matches will be played today, 3 tomorrow and two will never start. Cup holders Teteks will have an automatic qualification to the next round, not because they are the holders but because their opponent Albarsa (Shkupi) fused with Korzo and took its place. Therefore, Korzo will play its game against Metalurg at Albarsa’s stadium, while Teteks will have no opponent. Also Gostivar is qualified without a fight as just yesterday Babi informed FFM that they won’t play their Cup game.
First League holders Vardar will travel away to Kichevo where will face Second League newcomers Zajazi in what its expected to be one of the more interesting games.
A local derby will be played in Strumica between historically more popular but now a Third League East side Belasica and Turnovo who is living its golden years.
Mogila, Ljuboten, Rabotnik Djumajlija, Sateska and Karbinci will play as hosts in nearby town stadiums as their local fields don’t have the minimum standars for matches higher than those of the third leagues.
These are one leg games. If there’s no winner after 90 minutes, extra time will follow and later penalties if it’s still a tie.
