This was quite a weekend for the potential internationals. It is worth mentioning that Shkodran Mustafi was called-up for the German senior national team. However, even if he were to play in the friendly against Chile, he still would be eligible for Macedonia.
Australia, A-League, Central Coast – Sydney 2:1
Ivan Necevski, as usual, was the second goalkeeper for Sydney, whereas youngster Alec Urosevski also made the bench and later replaced Aaron Calver in the 80th minute. Their teammates Daniel Petkovski and Christopher Naumoff were not included in the matchday squad.
Croatia, 1.HNL, Dinamo Zagreb – Lokomotiva 2:1
Arijan Ademi played all minutes for Dinamo in this win at home. Lokomotiva scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute, but Dinamo answered quickly to turn the game around in the following 20 minutes.
Germany, Bundesliga, Braunschweig – Borussia Mönchengladbach 1:1
Orhan Ademi began the match on Braunschweig’s bench and played the last 15 minutes after he replaced Havard Nielsen.
Israel, Ligat ha Al, Hapoel Tel Aviv – Hapoel Kiryat Shmona 1:1
Offensive allrounder Besart Abdurahimi opened the game on the bench for Hapoel Tel Aviv and substituted Salim Toama in the 57th minute.
Italy, Serie A, Torino – Sampdoria 0:2
Centre back Shkodran Mustafi played the whole match for the visitors and was part of a defense that kept a clean sheet in this away win over Torino. This was a good week for Mustafi as he also received his first call-up to the German senior national team for the friendly against Chile. The defender stated a couple of weeks ago that he will surely finish the actual cycle with the German U21 national team before he decides whether to continue with Germany or another national team. Earlier, he already twice turned down a call-up by the Albanian national team, the last time at the beginning of this year.
Italy, Prima Divisione A, Carrarese – Lumezzane 0:0
Striker Fatih Ademi came off the bench for Carrarese in the 68th minute to substitute Leonardo Mancuso. The game eventually ended in a goalless draw.
Portugal, Segunda Liga, Porto B – Tondela 1:0
Midfielder Marko Pavlovski made a late substitute appearance for Porto B as he took Pedro Moreira’s place in the 85th minute. Due to this win, Porto B remains on top of the Portuguese Segunda Liga, but regardless of their position the team is not eligible to be promoted to the first league.
Serbia, Prva liga, Smederevo – Sloga Petrovac na Mlavi 2:1
Right back Ivan Karanfilovski got the start for the away team and played until the 72nd minute when Milan Zorica took his place.
Switzerland, Super League, Thun – Basel 2:2
20-year-old defensive allrounder Naser Aliji, born in Skopje, was an unused substitute for Basel.
