Yet another defeat for Macedonia U21. This time to Portugal for last place in the qualifications tournament.

As expected, Macedonia U21 once again lost. Favorites Portugal, as expected, won. Manchester United’s Bebé scored the opening goal after a mistake by keeper Efremov. Macedonia’s best chance in the first half was after Stankov’s good pass to Muarem Muarem but his shot went just wide.

In the second half both teams had chances. Bebé on the one side, Hasani and Petrov on the other. Bura scored the second goal for Portugal in the 87th minute with a header after a corner kick. Joao Silva scored the third goal for Portugal in dying minutes, but Altiparmakovski pulled one back in the last seconds. Hasani sent an excellent pass for Altiparmakovski and he rounded the keeper, scoring into the empty net.

Thus, Macedonia ends last on the table after a miserable campaign in which we only won 2 points.
