Goran Pandev and Inter won the Trofeo Tim tournament for the second consecutive year after defeating both Juventus and Milan.

Goran Pandev played the entire game for Inter against Juventus and the game finished 1:1 after 45 minutes so it went directly into penalty kicks.  Inter eventually won 6:5 on penalties but Pandev was the only player who missed his penalty for Inter.  However, the good news for Goran was that two Juventus players struck the crossbar so Inter prevailed.  Keep in mind that games for this tournament are 45 minutes each and later, Inter faced Milan looking to win the Trofeo Tim for the second consecutive year.  Inter manager Gian Piero Gasperini made many changes to his lineup for the Milan game and Pandev ended up being an unused substitute.  Inter beat Milan 1:0 with Diego Milito scoring the only goal of the game.  In the end, Inter had the most points among the three Italian giants and were crowned champions of the competition.
