The agent of Ostoja Stjepanovic announced on Thursday that his client had agreed to a 1 year deal with OFK Beograd in Serbia.
Ostoja Stjepanovic, a free agent, has found a new team. The summer transfer window closes in most leagues at the end of August, so Ostoja chose a club before that deadline. OFK Beograd has signed Stjepanovic for the rest of the season in Serbia.
The transfer was announced by Rafał Szczypczyk, the Polish based agent of Stjepanovic. Ostoja had spent the past two years in Poland, so that’s how he got to know Szczypczyk. Wisła Kraków chose not to re-sign Stjepanovic this summer, so he became a free agent.

At OFK Beograd, Stjepanovic will be teammates with Daniel Avramovski. Daniel is on loan there for the 2015-16 campaign from Crvena Zvezda.
This contract marks a return to Serbian football for Ostoja. Earlier in his career, he was under contract with the likes of Partizan and Čukarički. He then spent the following years in Austria, Kazakhstan, Macedonia and Poland before now going back to Serbia. Stjepanovic is a defensive midfielder who has won 9 caps for the Macedonian national team.
The season in Serbia is currently active. After six rounds, OFK Beograd has accumulated 6 points, good enough for 10th place in the 16-team league.
