Nikolce Noveski has been selected as the best defender in BundesLiga 2 by the world-famous German football magazine Kicker . Goran Stankovski has been awarded the annual 'top footballer' award from HKFA.

With an average of 3.02 grade, Nikolce Noveski is the best defender in German second BundesLiga. The football magazine Kicker is a reputable sports-information source in Germany. He is 3rd placed on the whole list of footballers from second bundesliga (excluding goalkeepers). Unfortunately, his team Mainz did not managed to gain a promotion to BundesLiga 1 finishing 4th on the table. 

Goran Stankovski has been chosen in the 'top footballer' list from the Hong Kong football association. This award is not to be mistaken with the 'footballer of the year' award which has been given to another player. Stankovski was chosen in the top 11 players together with 10 other players. Goran Stankovski together with his club Kitchee are 6th on the table of the Coolpoint Ventilation First Division in Hong Kong. Stankovski has also played in the match between Manchester City from England and South China Invitation Team and his team won 3-1. Though he didn't scored a goal, he was one of the better individuals with couple of shots on goal and assist to the first goal.
