Keeper Kristijan Naumovski and defender Gjoko Zajkov have been added to the senior national for the friendly against Qatar on 30 May.
Kristijan Naumovski was summoned to the squad to fill in for Tome Pachovski who was allowed to leave early, while Gjoko Zajkov takes the spot of Goran Popov who suffered injury in the Cameroon friendly. Even though Zajkov is a central defender, not a left-back like Popov, manager Boshko Gjurovski could play Kire Ristevski, already on the squad, at left-back. Ristevski has played LB and CB in his career. The other left-back on the team remains Ardijan Cuculi from Shkendija.
Naumoski was included in the initial squad for these two May friendlies, but missed out on the final cut when Gjurovski selected Pachovski and Andreja Efremov as his two keepers. However, now with Pachovski allowed to leave early, Naumovski and Efremov will be the two keepers available for the Qatar friendly on 30 May in Rieti, Italy. Zajkov, meanwhile, was with the U21 youth national team, but he left that squad earlier on Tuesday to join up with the senior NT in Italy.
Macedonia will hold trainings over the next two days before playing Qatar on Friday.
