Mitreski runs over Bayern

Igor Mitreski Igor Mitreski and his team FC Energie Cottbus made the biggest surprise this weekend after they trashed 1.BundesLiga giants FC Bayern München with 2:0.

Energie Cottbus, who before this round were on the bottom place on the table with only 3 wins out of 23 matches, managed to beat the biggest german club, the famous Bayern München.

Both goals were scored by the Serbian striker Branko Jelić. Macedonian full back and regular player for the national team under Srečko Katanec, Igor Mitreski, played the whole match and got a yellow card in  the 44th minute. Mitreski was excellent in the home defense, stopping the famous Bayern strikers Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose.

With this win, the club from the Stadium der Freundschaft made their chances for staying in the 1.BundesLiga very real. They are currently on the 15th place and will strive to stay there.

In the other matches, Aleksandar Vasoski did not played for his Eintracht Frankfurt due to injury. His club won away to Karlsruher SC and is currently on the 7th place with good chance to qualify for the UEFA Cup next season. Vasoski is expected to be back on the field in the upcoming weeks.
