Macedonia is firm favorite in the clash against Liechtenstein, one of the worst European national teams. But in order for a match to be won, it must be achieved that on the field. Blagoja Milevski is careful and doesn’t want to claim the win before kick-off, especially after Armenia failed to beat Liechtenstein in September by playing a 1:1 draw, while Germany had a tough match and won 2:0 despite everyone was expecting a goals galore.
“The match against Liechtenstein is the most important for us. That will be our most difficult match in these qualifiers. They are a team that is constantly improving in the recent years. It is not the same group of players from 10 years ago. They have a good team, a collective above all, and they proved that against Armenia and Germany. I expect my players to give their best in order to win the 3 points from this away game. We are the favorites, but we have to show that on the field as well. I am expecting my players to be in better shape than the September matches as now they are all playing” – says Milevski.
the match is scheduled for 8 October with a kick-off at 20.45 CET at the Rheinpark stadium in Vaduz.
