Aleksandar Lazevski is tackled by Robin van PersieGoran Pandev hits the post twice for Inter, Aleksandar Lazevski forces Arsenal right back Bakary Sagna to receive a straight red card after Sagna fouled Lazevski from behind preventing a goal scoring opportunity, Darko Tasevski returned from his injury for Levski, while Dragi Kocev scored a goal for Lokomotiv Plovdiv in a friendly against Akademik.


UEFA Champions League, Group A, Werder – Inter 3:0

Goran Pandev played the entire game for Inter in a 4-4-2 formation partnering Samuel Eto’o in attack and his first chance came in the 45th minute but his header following a cross from the right was over the goal.  Pandev then hit the post twice in the second half as in the 68th minute he took a short corner to Eto’o who passed the ball back to Pandev who then sent in a curling cross from the right with his left foot that didn’t have much power but the Werder Bremen keeper was fooled and didn’t move as the ball ended up hitting the post while in the 90th minute he received a pass from youngster Cristiano Biraghi before he turned and unleashed a powerful shot that hit the top off the crossbar.  With the loss, Inter will finish second in their group but they will advance to the Champions League Round of 16.

UEFA Champions League, Group H, Arsenal – Partizan 3:1
Aleksandar Lazevski played all 90 minutes for Partizan and he caused Bakary Sagna to receive a straight red card in the 85th minute as Lazevski would have had a goal scoring opportunity but he was fouled from behind which led to Sagna getting a straight red card.  Partizan lost all six games in Group H of the Champions League as Lazevski played the maximum 540 minutes from the six games.

Bulgaria, Bulgarian Cup, Levski – Beroe 1:0
Darko Tasevski returned from his injury for Levski and initially started the game on the bench before he came on at the start of the 2nd half replacing Serginho Greene.  Tasevski immediately made Levski more dangerous going forward and he attempted a shot from distance in the 54th minute that was just over the goal.  Tasevski picked up a yellow card in the 77th minute and had another chance in the 81st minute but his shot was saved by the Beroe keeper and it went for a corner.  Levski finally broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute through Vladimir Gadzhev and they will advance to the next round of the Bulgarian Cup with the win over Beroe.

Turkey, Spor Toto Süper Lig, Kayserispor – Eskişehirspor 2:2
Agim Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Eskişehirspor.

Israel, Ligat Winner, Hapoel Be’er Sheva – Ironi Kiryat Shmona 1:1
Zoran Baldovaliev started on the bench for Ironi Kiryat Shmona before he entered the game in the 78th minute replacing Elroy Cohen.  Baldovaliev also picked up a yellow card in the 85th minute.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Ferencváros – Lombard-Pápa 4:2
Nikola Jakimovski started for Ferencváros and played until the 52nd minute when he was replaced by Viktor Bölcsföldi.

Friendly, Lokomotiv Plovdiv – Akademik 1:0
Dragi Kocev played the first half for Lokomotiv Plovdiv and scored the only goal of the game in the 5th minute with a header following a good cross from the left by Martin Kavdanski.

Friendly, Dynamo Kyiv – Spartak Nalchik 4:0
Goran Popov played the entire game for Dynamo Kyiv who played a friendly to give their players some match practice since there is the winter break in Ukraine but Dynamo Kyiv has a Europa League game next week against Sheriff.
