Goran Pandev and Inter advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League, while Velice Sumulikoski still hasn’t been called up since Darren Ferguson took over as the manager of Preston North End.

Goran Pandev started for Inter and began lively with a great pass to Maicon in the 4th minute and then had a chance in the 11th minute with a volley but it didn’t trouble the CSKA Moskva keeper. Pandev should have done better in the 20th minute when Inter were on a counter-attack but he couldn’t control the pass and lost possession of the ball. He then attempted a shot in the 45th minute that was wide of goal. Pandev was substituted in the 63rd minute when Romanian international Cristian Chivu took his place. Inter advance to the semi-finals where they will play Barcelona.

Stojan Ignjatov played all 90 minutes for Poletehnica Iaşi who kept the game tied at 0:0 until the 75th minute when Cluj took the lead and they put the game away in the 90th minute when they scored to make it 0:2.
