Goran Pandev started in attacking midfield for Napoli and played until the 76th minute when he was substituted by Duvan Zapata. Pandev had one shot on goal in the 23rd minute that was saved by the opposing keeper. Goran also received a yellow card in the 38th minute. After five matchdays, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are tied with 9 points apiece, both trailing top ranked Arsenal by 3 points, but the German side holds the tiebreaker over Napoli (better goal difference head to head).

Muhamed Demiri played all 90 minutes for St. Gallen in defensive midfield during the heavy road defeat against Kuban. With the loss, St. Gallen was officially eliminated from the Europa League.

Goran Popov got his first league start of the season for West Brom, filling in for the injured left-back Liam Ridgewell, and played until the 82nd minute when he was replaced by Victor Anichebe. West Brom took a quick 2:0 lead within the opening 11 minutes thanks to a brace by Shane Long, but Aston Villa netted two goals in the 2nd half to take home a point. On the second goal for the visitors in the 76th minute, Popov made a bad clearance with his head that reached Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood who then slotted a well placed shot past the diving West Brom keeper.

Boban Nikolov opened the game on the bench for Viitorul before he made a late appearance in the 85th minute to substitute Romario Benzar.
Switzerland, Challenge League, Winterthur – Schaffhausen 2:0
Ezgjan Alioski started for Schaffhausen and played until the 39th minute when the club’s manager made the tactical decision to replace him with Sehar Fejzulahi. Alioski’s teammate Deni Krleski stayed on the bench as an unused substitute.

Hristijan Kirovski was not summoned in the 20 player squad by CSKA Sofia for the away trip to Neftochimic. Kirovski is no longer in the plans of the CSKA Sofia manager, and he will be free to look for a new team in the winter transfer window.

Ilija Nestorovski played the entire game for Inter Zaprešić and scored the lone goal for his team in the 81st minute. Inter Zaprešić will look to overcome the slight deficit in the return leg, set to be played next week, of the quarter-final matchup against Slaven Belupo in the Croatian Cup.
