Midweek internationals performances

Goran Popov returned to the starting lineup for West Brom, while several other teams featuring Macedonian players were involved in domestic cup matches during the midweek period.

England, Barclays Premier League, Everton – West Brom 2:1
Goran Popov played the entire game for West Brom who has now gone winless in the past five league games to drop to 9th place on the standings.  Everton netted both goals through Leighton Baines, his second coming on a converted penalty kick just before halftime.

Israel, State Cup, Hapoel Herzliya – Ironi Kiryat Shmona 0:4
Darko Tasevski was an unused substitute for Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

Cyprus, Laiki Bank League, Alki – Doxa 2:2
Nikola Gligorov started for Alki in midfield and played until the 58th minute when he was substituted by Sidnei.

Cyprus, Coca-Cola Cup, Apollon – Nea Salamis 1:0
Bojan Markoski did not play for Apollon while Armend Alimi began on the bench for Nea Salamis before he entered the game at the start of the 2nd half replacing Enes Rujovic.  Apollon won both legs 1:0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Cypriot Cup.

Cyprus, Coca-Cola Cup, Olympiakos Nicosia – AEK Larnaca 3:3
Yani Urdinov was not included in the AEK Larnaca squad who reached the next round of the competition by edging Olympiacos Nicosia 4:3 on aggregate.

Greece, Superleague Greece, Skoda Xanthi – Veria 0:2
Marjan Altiparmakovski was not among the 20 players called up by Skoda Xanthi.
