Metalurg wins the Macedonian Cup

Metalurg Metalurg defeated Teteks with 2:0 and won the Macedonian Cup final and the first trophy in the 56 years history of the club.

Metalurg proved the role of favourites on the 19th Macedonian Cup final and defeat Teteks. The club from Tetovo had the chance to defend the title from last year, but Metalurg were extra motivated to win their first trophy in the history of the club.

After 14 minutes, Teteks’ goalkeeper Marko Jovanovski made a big mistake and allowed Marko Kostencoski to score the opening goal on this match. 

Teteks then tried to equalize, but failed to create many serious chances. Metalurg controlled the play and not just that successfully defended their lead, but they also managed to threaten on Teteks’ goal. In the 56th minute, after a fast attack, Ilijoski and Nacevski created a chance for Aleksandar Tenekedziev who doubled the lead.
