Just as Teteks, Metalurg are also eliminated from Europa League in first qualifying round.
The Skopje team had a tough task against Qarabağ, as they were already defeated 0:1 in Skopje in the first leg.
In the return leg, Metalurg was again defeated with the same scoreline. This time, Leroy George scored the winning goal for the Azerbaijani side, once again proving that football in many countries is improving vastly, while it seems to stagnate in Macedonia.
Metalurg had a total of one shot on target and it seemed like the hosts played a smart game, without pushing too much considering their advantage from the first leg.
Metalurg’s line-up: Efremov, Dalcheski, Ljamchevski, Peev, Simonovski (68′ Gjorgievski), Mitrev, Radeski (46′ Churlinov), Mitrevski, Krstev, Shishkov (46′ Maznov), Berisha.
Qarabağ will now face Piast in Europa League second qualifying round.
