Coach Michele Marcolini summoned 31 players, but have in mind that three days after coming to Skopje the Maltese national team will host defending European champions Italy.
Central defender Luke Tabone is the lone new face in their squad, but there are other three players who will be waiting their debut (have been called up before without playing). Those players are reserve keepers Formosa and Grech, and attacking midfielder Yankam.
Left winger Luke Gambin (36 NT caps) of League 2 side Sutton United has not been summoned due to lack of playing time at his club. Left back Jean Borg must serve a red card suspension.
