Macedonian squad for June matches revealed

upcoming friendly against Turkey and World Cup qualifier against Spain, both in Skopje.

Macedonian senior national team will play two games in June. First a friendly on the 5th against Turkey and later a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Spain on the 11th. Big headaches for coach Igor Angelovski as he can’t have the U21 national team players who on the 4th will start prepairing for the U21 EURO in Poland. They won’t be available to him in order to avoid possible injuries.

Angelovski this time as well included some very young players. If on the friendly against Belarus 16-year-old Darko Churlinov debuted, now a chance for debut will have Elif Elmas (17), Jani Atanasov (17) and Amel Rustemoski (16).

Back in the squad after long absence because of injuries is keeper David Mitov Nilsson who despite still not playing for his club is training and playing for their second team.

Both games will be played at the National Arena Philip II of Macedon in Skopje. With the game featuring Spain the stadium will be officially closed in order to keep it in good shape for the UEFA Super Cup in early August.
