Aleksandar Lazevski against AnderlechtSeveral Macedonian internationals were involved in Champions League and Europa League qualifications, Ilco Naumoski served the final game of his suspension, while Stevica Ristić scored the only goal of the game to help his team win the Uzbek Cup.

UEFA Champions League, Play-off Round, Dynamo Kyiv – Ajax 1:1
Goran Popov played the entire game for Dynamo Kyiv who will be pleased with the result since they played with 10 men from the 56th minute when Denys Harmash picked up his second yellow card of the game for a bad foul.  From the resulting free kick, Ajax scored after a great cross which was headed in by Jan Vertonghen.  Dynamo equalized in the 66th with a goal from nowhere as the Dynamo keeper took a long goal kick which was misplayed by the Ajax defenders and the ball fell perfectly towards Oleh Gusev who scored past the Ajax keeper.  Popov had a chance in the 6th minute but his shot was blocked and then he almost gifted a goal to Ajax in the 28th minute when he tried to dribble past two Ajax players who took the ball away from him but Ajax wasted a big chance.  Popov was better in the 2nd half but man of the match for Dynamo was definitely their 17 year old keeper Maksym Koval who made a number of good saves and also played a big part in Dynamo’s goal.  The return leg will be on the 25th of August.

UEFA Champions League, Play-off Round, Partizan – Anderlecht 2:2
Aleksandar Lazevski played all 90 minutes for Partizan as the four goals in the game were scored in a twelve minute stretch from the 54th to the 66th minute.  Anderlecht scored the opener in the 54th minute on a header when Gillet got higher than Lazevski and scored past the Partizan keeper.  Partizan tied the game three minutes later with some nice passing and a good finish by Brazilian Cléo before they took the lead in the 64th minute when an Anderlecht player scored an own goal.  However, Anderlecht equalized in the 66th minute after a mistake by the Partizan keeper.  The return leg will be on the 24th of August.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Sibir – PSV Eindhoven 1:0
Velice Sumulikoski played the entire game for Sibir who got a very good result at home by scoring a goal in the second minute of stoppage time towards the end of the game and also keeping a clean sheet which is very important since away goals are so important.  Sibir had a chance early but a header that beat the opposing keeper was cleared by a PSV defender before the ball crossed the line.  Both teams finished the game with 10 men as Francisco Rodríguez was given a straight red card in the 39th minute for shoving Igor Shevchenko who was given a yellow card for his actions.  Four minutes later, Shevchenko was given a second yellow for diving in the penalty box.  PSV scored a goal in the 2nd half that was ruled offside but it was very close and it could have gone either way.  Sibir got the game winner in the second minute of stoppage when a long cross was misplayed by a PSV defender and the ball reached a Sibir player who made a nice pass to his teammate who scored between the legs of the PSV keeper.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Getafe – APOEL 1:0
Boban Grncarov played all 90 minutes for APOEL while Ivan Trickovski started on the bench before he came on in the 87th minute replacing Esteban Solari.  Trickovski attempted a low, right footed shot from just outside the box in the fourth minute of stoppage time but his shot was saved by the Getafe keeper.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, AIK – Levski 0:0
Darko Tasevski started for Levski and played until the 69th minute when he was replaced by Aleksandar Aleksandrov.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Debreceni – Litex Lovech 2:0
Mirsad Mijadinoski played all 90 minutes for Debreceni.  He had a chance in the 40th minute but his header from a corner was off target.

Austria, ÖFB-Stiegl-Cup, Stegersbach – Mattersburg 1:5

Ilco Naumoski served the final game of his five game suspension for Mattersburg and will be eligible to play for his team in the next game which is this Sunday away to Rapid Wien.

Czech Republic,
1. Gambrinus Liga, Zbrojovka Brno – Mladá Boleslav 3:1
Vladimir Dimitrovski was an unused substitute for Mladá Boleslav.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Örebro 1:0
Daniel Ivanovski did not play for Mjällby because of an injury.

Uzbekistan, Uzbek Cup Final, Bunyodkor – Sho’rtan G’uzor 1:0
Stevica Ristić played the entire game for Bunyodkor and scored the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute.  He received a yellow card for taking his shirt off while celebrating but it was a big goal as his team won the domestic cup.

Friendly, Sportfreunde Schwalbach – Eintracht Frankfurt 0:22
Oka Nikolov was rested by Eintracht Frankfurt while Aleksandar Vasoski played all 90 minutes.  The next game for Eintracht is the first round of the Bundesliga season away to Hannover 96.

Friendly, Ethnikos Achnas – AEK Larnaca 2:0
Edin Nuredinoski, Vance Sikov, and Stojan Ignjatov all started for Ethnikos Achnas while Filip Ivanovski played in the 2nd half.  Ignjatov assisted on the first goal with a cross that was headed in by Levan Kebadze.

Friendly, Enosis Neon Paralimni – Alki Larnaca 2:0
Petar Milosevski returned from his injury and played from the start for Enosis while his teammates Bojan Markoski and Krste Velkoski played the 1st half.  Markoski had to leave the game because of a quad injury.
