Aco Stojkov, Mirsad Mijadinoski, and Zoran Baldovaliev all scored once for their respective teams, while Vlade Lazarevski, Igor Mitreski, and Dusan Savic made their debuts with their new teams.

Goran Pandev started on the left wing in Inter’s 4-2-3-1 formation. Pandev played a role in Inter’s 2nd goal with a beautiful assist to Maicon but he was fairly quiet for the most part and didn’t attempt a shot on goal. Pandev played until the 72nd minute when he was replaced by Samuel Eto’o.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Mainz – Werder Bremen 1:2
Nikolce Noveski started for Mainz despite being bothered by an ankle injury and Mainz started off the more aggressive side and took the game to Werder Bremen but a Mainz player picked up a silly red card in the 14th minute and that shifted the momentum over to Werder Bremen who took the lead in the 31st minute when Tim Borowski scored from a free kick that was misread by Mainz goalkeeper Heinz Muller who should of done better. Mainz equalized just before halftime and played Werder Bremen tough in the 2nd half but they couldn’t hold on to the draw as Sebastian Prodl scored the game winning goal in the 50th minute with a powerful shot that was almost blocked by Nikolce Noveski who played all 90 minutes.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Schalke 04 – Borussia Dortmund 2:1
Besart Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Schalke 04.
Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Stuttgart – Eintracht Frankfurt 2:1
Oka Nikolov played the entire game for Eintracht Frankfurt who took the lead in the 39th minute before Stuttgart scored twice through Cacau in the 41st and 45th minute. The 2nd goal for Stuttgart could have been avoided but Nikolov was slow to react and Cacau capitalized and scored his 6th goal in the past two league games for Stuttgart. Aleksandar Vasoski remains out with an injury.
Netherlands, Eredivisie, Heerenveen – Heracles Almelo 1:2
Goran Popov was benched by Heerenveen manager Jan Everse for his poor play. Everse criticized Popov for his defensive mistakes and went on to say that Popov cost Heerenveen a point against Ajax two weeks ago and also played poorly in last week’s game against Waalwijk.
England, League Championship, Preston North End – Cardiff City 3:0
Velice Sumulikoski was once again left out by Preston North End manager Darren Ferguson.
Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Mattersburg – Austria Vienna 1:1
Ilco Naumoski has had issues with his temper and they were on display in this game. It began in the 33rd minute when Ilco tried to win a penalty but the referee felt it was a dive and gave Naumoski a yellow card for arguing. Naumoski then showed flashes of his talent by showing good vision with a great through ball for his teammate Spuller who had his shot saved by the Austria Vienna keeper. Ilco was involved in the goal for Mattersburg in the 63rd minute with another clever pass to Spuller who crossed it to Waltner for the goal. But four minutes later, things got ugly. Naumoski tried to win another penalty but the referee felt it was a blatant dive and showed Ilco his 2nd yellow card of the game and that’s when Ilco lost it. He went after the referee and hit and choked one of his teammates who was trying to hold him back. He faces a lengthy suspension for his behavior. Ostoja Stjepanovic also started for Mattersburg and played until the 58th minute while Goce Sedloski started on the bench but came on at the start of the 2nd half replacing Pauschenwein.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Aarau – Luzern 1:2
Aco Stojkov was very active and threatened early in the 8th minute with a shot from a tight angle that was saved by the Luzern keeper and it went for a corner. Stojkov was causing the Luzern defense problems with his pace and in the 51st minute, with Aarau on a counterattack, Stojkov escaped after a long pass and scored a beautiful goal from 15 meters. Stojkov now has 7 goals in 15 league games for Aarau.
Belgium, Jupiler League, Germinal Beerschot – Gent 1:1
Tome Pacovski played the entire game for Germinal Beerschot and was not at fault for the goal scored by Gent. It was a long free kick in the box and a Germinal defender whiffed on the ball and the ball found a Gent striker who scored from close range. Pacovski almost made a huge blunder late in the game when he misjudged a soft header but was able to recover and got his hand on the ball and it went for a corner for Gent.

Filip Ivanovski started as the lone striker in a 4-5-1 formation for Polonia. He almost scored in the 2nd minute and had another chance in the 56th minute but his finishing let him down. He played until the 75th minute while for Lech Poznan, Zlatko Tanevski was an unused substitute.
