Macedonian Internationals performances

Italy, Serie A, Bari – Inter 2:2
Goran Pandev scored his first goal for Inter in the 69th minute when Inter were down 2:0 and then 5 minutes later drew a penalty which was converted by Diego Milito to tie the game at 2:2.  Pandev played all 90 minutes for the second straight game.  Next week is the Derby della Madonnina and a very important game as Milan is only 6 points behind Inter with a game in hand.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bayer LeverkusenMainz 4:2
Nikolce Noveski played his first game for Mainz since he signed an extension that will keep him at Mainz until June of 2013 and Mainz took the shock lead in the 8th minute before Bayer Leverkusen scored three consecutive goals to make it 3:1 at halftime.  Mainz made it 3:2 in the 67th minute but Bayer Leverkusen finished them off when Swiss international Eren Derdiyok made it 4:2.  Bayer Leverkusen have not lost a game in the German Bundesliga.  They have 10 wins and 8 draws in 18 games.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Eintracht FrankfurtWerder Bremen 1:0
Oka Nikolov played a huge role in Eintracht’s upset win over Werder Bremen.  Eintracht were missing multiple players through injuries including Macedonian Aleksandar Vasoski who had his knee operated but somehow Eintracht found a way to win.  Werder Bremen dominated possession and had good scoring chances but Nikolov came up big for Eintracht and made some good saves.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Schalke 04 – Nürnberg 1:0
Besart Ibraimi was not among the 18 players called up by Schalke as he adjusts to moving to the German Bundesliga.  The only goal of the game was scored by Kevin Kuranyi.  Ibraimi will wear #34 for Schalke.

France, Ligue 1, Auxerre – Boulogne 0:0
Robert Popov was once again not among the 18 players called up by Auxerre.

Netherlands, KNVB Beker, Heerenveen – PSV Eindhoven 1:3
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen who continue their disappointing year. 

England, League Championship, Bristol City – Preston North End 4:2
Velice Sumulikoski was an unused substitute for Preston who were playing their first game under new manager Darren Ferguson.  It’s a game that Ferguson will want to forget as Preston struggled defensively and allowed four goals.

Belgium, Jupiler League, Germinal Beerschot – Cercle Brugge 1:4
Tome Pacovski and Germinal had a disastrous performance at home against Cercle Brugge.  Germinal played with 10 men when Tomislav Mikulić was shown a red card in the 15th minute and Cercle dominated from that point on and deserved all 3 points.  Igor Gjuzelov did not play for Cercle Brugge.

Belgium, Jupiler League, St. Truiden – Lokeren 2:1
Ertan Demiri did not play for the visitors.

Belgium, EXQI League, Lierse – Oud-Heverlee Leuven 5:0
Nderim Nedzipi played all 90 minuted for Lierse who destroyed their opponents.  Lierse is currently in first place of the Belgian Second Division.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, AE Paphos – Ethnikos Achnas 0:0
Both Macedonian goalkeepers Jane Nikoloski and Edin Nuredinoski kept clean sheets for their respective teams.  Nuredinoski’s teammate for Ethnikos Achnas Vance Sikov played all 90 minutes.  Ethnikos could be adding a third Macedonian as Slavco Georgievski trained with them yesterday and could be added if he impresses the coaches and management.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, AEL – Anorthosis Farnagusta 0:1
Vlatko Grozdanoski signed with AEL this past week but did not make his debut for AEL who suffered a narrow loss at home to Anorthosis.  

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, Doxa Katokopias – APOEL 1:2
Boban Grncarov did not play for APOEL.

Israel, Ligat HaAl, Beitar Jerusalem – Maccabi Petah Tikva 1:2
Vanco Trajanov started on the bench and came on in the 79th minute for Maccabi Petah Tikva who got a big win on the road.
