Italy, Serie A, Inter – Siena 4:3
Goran Pandev started on the right wing for Inter and was very active early on as he forced the goalkeeper to make 2 saves including in the 9th minute when the keeper made a great save to prevent Pandev from scoring his first goal for Inter.  Siena took the shock lead through Massimo Maccarone with a wonderful goal before Inter scored twice through Milito and then Sneijder from a free kick in the 36th minute. Siena equalized one minute later to make it 2:2 going into halftime.  Pandev played both on the left and right as he showed his versatility. Siena continued to play Inter tough and took a deserving lead when Maccarone scored his second goal in the 65th minute. Inter pushed forward and could not break down the resilient Siena defense but a Siena player committed a silly foul and Inter made them pay for it as Sneijder scored his 2nd from a free kick.  Inter were not satisfied with the draw and wanted the win and got it in extra time when Milito found Pandev who passed it to Samuel for the game winning goal.  It was Pandev’s first assist with Inter as he played all 90 minutes.
