A Macedonian derby took place in Croatia as Muzafer Ejupi‘s Slaven Belupo hosted Rijeka of Stefan Ristovski and Leonard Zhuta. All three players started the match for their respective clubs. He had a couple of saves during the match and his opponent missed a penalty, but he conceded a late goal and his club dropped two important points. Kire Ristevski welcomed the team of Enis Bardi and Viktor Angelov and came out victorious at the end. Ristevski started for Vasas and played until the 61st minute when Norbert Könyves took his place. At the same minute Bardi came in for Angelov who started the match. It was 1:1 when these changes occured. Bardi scored in the 78th minute to equalize on 2:2, but Vasas managed to score a winner in the very last minute. This points are very important for Ristevski’s team in the battle for avoiding relegation, but also a big blow for the other two Macedonians since they are fighting for an Europa League spot.

Unfortunately Goran Pandev got injured and had to be substituted with Tim Matavž after only 20 minutes of play. The medical exams done on Monday revealed that Pandev has a lesion of second degree of the femoral biceps in the left thigh which will sideline him for around a month.

Petar Krstikj started for Radnički Niš and played until the 80th minute. This was the second consecutive start for the 18-year-old midfielder. If he continues this way, he could be part of Macedonia’s U21 national team for the friendly against Belarus, a game in which coach Blagoja Milevski wants to test younger players that are eligible for the next qualification cycle (born in the year 1996 and younger).
