Only 16 minutes later his club was already 3:0 ahead of their opponents, but just when everyone thought the job was done, the visitors managed to turn the game around and make it 3:4 in the last few minutes of the match.

Dimitar Mitrovski scored his first goal this season from an astonishingly executed free kick early in the 5th minute of the match. He went on to play for 72 minutes, while his teammate Agon Elezi did not get summoned for this round. Varaždin had a 2:0 lead until the 81st minute but in the end they had to settle only for a draw against Slaven Belupo.
