A quiet weekend for Macedonian internationals when it came to goals and assists, but a number of leagues around Europe resumed play after lengthy winter breaks while several new seasons started across Asia in countries such as Japan, South Korea and Thailand.

Goran Pandev started for Napoli and played until the 66th minute when he was substituted by Lorenzo Insigne. Pandev was relatively quiet during his time on the field, creating just one quality chance early in the game when he got around an opposing player to find teammate Marek Hamšík whose effort from inside the area went over the goal.
Germany, Bundesliga, Fortuna Düsseldorf – Mainz 1:1
Nikolche Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who fell behind early in the 6th minute when Noveski’s CB partner Bo Svensson scored an own goal, but Mainz equalized several minutes before halftime to snatch a point.
England, Barclays Premier League, Chelsea – West Brom 1:0
Goran Popov did not play for West Brom as he served the third and final game of his suspension.
Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Shakhtar – Volyn 4:1
Vanche Shikov, slowed down by an injury during much of the winter break in Ukraine, was able ro recover in time for the start of the second half of the season but started on Volyn’s bench against Shakhtar Donetsk before entering the game in the 74th minute replacing Silviu Izvoranu while his teammate Dushan Savikj played all 90 minutes in attack.

Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty and kept a clean sheet in the road encounter against Tavriya. Bogatinov also received a yellow card in the 90th minute for time wasting.

Besart Ibraimi got the start for Metalurh Zaporizhya and played until the 73rd minute when he made way for Ivan Matyazh. Ibraimi had one good chance just before halftime but his long distance free kick went just inches over the goal. This was Besart’s debut for Metalurh Zaporizhya after he was loaned to that club by Sevastopol.

Aleksandar Trajkovski started for Zulte Waregem and played the opening 45 minutes before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Jens Naessens. The visitors scored the lone goal in the 90th minute to move just three points behind top ranked Anderlecht.
Switzerland, Raiffeisen Super League, Luzern – Thun 0:0
Muhamed Demiri began on the bench for Thun before he entered the game in the 73rd minute replacing Roland Bättig in the goalless draw away to Luzern.

Agim Ibraimi played the entire game for Maribor who rolled to a comfortable victory over Triglav. Ibraimi played a part in the opening goal for Maribor in the 5th minute when he dribbled past half the field, getting by three Triglav players, to then find Martin Milec who then set up the scorer Robert Berić to tap in an effort from close range.

Nikola Jakimovski made his league debut for Nagoya by playing all 90 minutes in the opening round of the 2013 Japanese season. Nagoya took the initial lead through an own goal in the 36th minute before the visitors equalized in the 71st minute for a draw. Jakimovski was also shown a yellow card in the 42nd minute.
