Macedonian internationals performances

With many leagues around Europe still in the winter break, only several league games involved Macedonian players over the weekend.  Here is a recap of their performances:

Italy, Serie A, Napoli – Palermo 3:0
Goran Pandev started for Napoli and played until the 68th minute when he was substituted by Lorenzo Insigne.  Napoli won its third consecutive game to move within five points of top ranked Juventus.

England, Barclays Premier League, Reading – West Brom 3:2
Goran Popov was an unused substitute for West Brom.

Israel, Ligat Winner, Ironi Kiryat Shmona – Hapoel Haifa 1:1
Darko Tasevski played the entire game for Ironi Kiryat Shmona who only managed a point against the bottom placed team on the standings.  Tasevski had a good opportunity towards the end of the match but his diving header from inside the area went wide of the right goal post.

Cyprus, Laiki Bank League, Olympiakos Nicosia – AEK Larnaca 0:2
Yani Urdinov was not included in the AEK Larnaca squad.

Cyprus, Laiki Bank League, Nea Salamis – Ethnikos Achnas 0:1
Armend Alimi played all 90 minutes for Nea Salamis in midfield while goalkeeper Marko Jovanovski was not summoned by Ethnikos Achnas.  His club finally won their first league game of the season as they have now compiled one win, eight draws and eight losses in 17 league encounters.

Greece, Superleague Greece, AEK Athens – Skoda Xanthi 1:0
Marjan Altiparmakovski was not among the 18 players called up by Skoda Xanthi.
