Italy, Serie A, Inter – Napoli 2:1
Goran Pandev started on the bench for Napoli before he entered the game at the start of the 2nd half replacing defender Alessandro Gamberini.  Pandev should have scored a goal in the 54th minute but his first effort from close range was saved by Inter keeper Samir Handanovič, while his rebound opportunity took a deflection of an opposing player before striking the post.  However, Napoli still managed to score a goal on that chance as the ball then fell to Edinson Cavani who fired a shot to the back of the net to reduce the Inter deficit to 2:1.  In the 60th minute, Pandev was given a yellow card for protesting to the referee.  Goran took a shot which he felt hit the hand of an Inter player but the referee waved play on to the disgust of Pandev.  Goran’s final chance came in the 75th minute but his left footed shot from inside of the area lacked power and was saved rather comfortably by Handanovič.  With the loss, Inter overtook Napoli to move into second place on the standings.
