Macedonian internationals performances (17-20.07.2020)

Milan Ristovski, Adis Jahovic, Mevlan Adili and Egzon Shabani scored one goal apiece for their respective teams, Gopran pandev assisted, Ezgjan Alioski won promotion to the Premier League with Leeds, while Elif Elmas defeated Ilija Nestorovski.

Albania, Kategoria Superiore, Teuta – Partizani 0:0
Both Blagoja Todorovski and Bobi Celeski played the whole match for Teuta and helped their team keep a clean sheet, as did Egzon Belica for Partizani, whereas Besnik Ferati started the game on the bench and joined Egzon on the field in 81st minute. For goalie Bobi Celeski this was the first played league match in this season, and he used his chance well as he made few important saves to bring Teuta a draw.

Albania, Kategoria Superiore, Luftëtari – Skënderbeu 0:1
Artim Polozhani played the entire match as part of the visiting defense, while his teammate Agon Elezi did not get a chance to play in this encounter.

Albania, Kategoria Superiore, Vllaznia – Kukësi 1:0
Mevlan Adili was the man of decision in the encounter against Kukësi as he helped Vllaznia keep a clean sheet and most importantly – he scored the lone goal of the game in the final minutes of the match to bring his club a victory. Unlike him who went on to play the full 90 minutes, his teammates Andreja Efremov and Filip Gligorov did not get a chance to play in this round, whereas right back Edis Malikji played as usual the full match for the visitors. Efremov and Gligorov have lost their spots in the lineup over the past weeks and it remains to be seen if they will stay with Vllaznia after the end of the season.

Austria, 2. Liga, Dornbirn – Horn 5:2
Egzon Shabani started for Dornbirn at right back and he scored a goal in the 58th minute to give his team a 3:2 lead against Horn. Shabani went on to play for 79 minutes, and Dornbirn added two more goals till the end of the game to make it an impressive 5:2 victory, despite being down 0:2 at halftime.

Bulgaria, European play-off final, Slavia – Botev Plovdiv 2:1
Darko Tasevski remains out of the squad for Slavia as he is still recovering from his injury, but his teammates managed to defeat Botev Plovdiv in the final round of the European play-off and thus secure a spot in the Europa League qualifications.

Bulgaria, Relegation final, Dunav – Montana 1:4
Aleksandar Isaevski played the entire match for the hosts as they suffered a huge and disappointing loss to Montana (the third placed team from the second division) in the relegation play-off, which unfortunately means a definite relegation for Dunav.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Istra – Dinamo 0:0
As usual, captain Arijan Ademi played the entire game for Dinamo as they played a goalless draw against Istra. For the home side, Agron Rufati remained an unused substitute.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Varaždin – Osijek 1:0
Todor Todoroski was once again summoned in Osijek’s squad but he did not get a chance to play.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Hajduk – Rijeka 2:3
Darko Velkovski played another full match for Rijeka as they scored a very important victory against Hajduk. With one more round left in the Croatian league, Rijeka (currently fourth in the standings) is only 1 point behind second placed Osijek, which means they are still in race for the Champions League qualifications. For that they will need a win in the last round against Istra, as well as a draw on the match between Osijek and Lokomotiva.

England, Championship, Derby County – Leeds United 1:3
Ezgjan Alioski played the full game for Leeds at the left wing as they defeated Derby County and most importantly – celebrated winning the Championship and obtaining promotion to the Premier League for the next season.

Finland, Veikkausliiga, Inter – HJK 1:0
Ferhan Hasani did not make the matchday squad for HJK.

Georgia, Erovnuli Liga, Merani – Samtredia 1:2
Strahinja Krstevski was once again out of Samtredia’s squad.

Italy, Serie A, Genoa – Lecce 2:1
Goran Pandev made the start for Genoa and played almost the whole match as he was replaced in the 90th minute. His team collected three big points and is now four points ahead of Lecce with four rounds to go. Pandev assisted to Antonio Sanabria for the opening goal in the 7th minute.

Italy, Serie A, Napoli – Udinese 2:1
Elif Elmas played the last ten minutes for Napoli, while Ilija Nestorovski started for Udinese and lasted all minutes on the pitch. Eventually, Napoli gained three points thanks to a late goal in the 4th minute of stoppage time.

Italy, Serie B, Pisa – Trapani 3:2
Nikola Jakimovski watched from the bench as Trapani lost to Pisa.

Norway, Eliteserien, Sarpsborg 08 – Odds 2:0
David Mitov Nilsson played another full game between the posts for Sarpsborg and managed to keep a clean sheet in the win against Odds.

Highlights:

Poland, Ekstraklasa, Lech – Jagiellonia 4:0
Despite returning to training over a week ago, Dejan Iliev was once again sidelined by Jagiellonia as he was still not ready to make a comeback from his injury. This was the last round in the Polish championship and Iliev will be returning back to Arsenal after this game. However, it remains to be seen if he will indeed stay there or perhaps be sent out on a new loan again for the next season.

Romania, Liga I Betano, Botoșani – Universitatea Craiova 0:2
Stefan Ashkovski opened on the right wing for the hosts and played 84 minutes, whereas his teammate David Babunski played the last quarter hour.

Marko Simonovski made the start for Voluntari and got substituted after the halftime break.

Slovakia, European play-off, Spartak – Ružomberok 0:2
For a fifth game in a row, Tihomir Kostadinov was once again out of Ružomberok’s squad because of injury as they defeated Spartak in the final round of the European play-off.

Slovakia, Relegation play-off, Nitra – Dubnica 3:0
In his last game for the club, Milan Ristovski played another 90 minutes and scored a penalty goal for Nitra to help them defeat Dubnica and thus remain in the top division for the next season. Now Milan returns to Rijeka after his loan ended and it’s still not sure where he will play in the new season.

Zeni Husmani wasn’t part of the visitors matchday squad.

Enis Bardhi wasn’t called up by Levante for this encounter. The was the last round in La Liga and Levante finished 12th.

Spain, Primera División, Osasuna – Real Mallorca 2:2
Aleksandar Trajkovski played from the 74th minute for Mallorca as his team picked up a point at Osasuna. Mallorca was already relegated and finished 19th.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Östersund – Häcken 2:2
Leonard Zhuta started the game on the bench for Häcken and entered the field in the 82nd minute to play the final moments of the match against Östersund.

Besard Shabovic played until the 71st minute for the visitors when Jacob Bergström took his place. It was 2:1 at the time.

Daniel Krezikj made the starting lineup for the hosts and played for 69 minutes on the left wing.

Erdon Daci made a late substitute appearance for the visitors as he was introduced in the 2nd minute of stoppage time.

Turkey, Süper Lig, Ankaragücü – Antalyaspor 0:1
Adis Jahovic played all minutes for the away side and had a big moment in the 2nd minute of stoppage time when he netted the lone goal of the game. Five minutes later he also received a yellow card.
