Goran Popov and Dynamo Kyiv played a goalless draw against heated rivals Shakhtar Donetsk, Daniel Mojsov and Boban Grncarov overcame injuries to play for their respective teams, while Dragan Cadikovski was the only Macedonian international to find the back of the net this weekend.

Goran Pandev started on the bench for Napoli before he entered the game in the 72nd minute replacing Andrea Dossena.  Pandev was pretty quiet and could not bring the desired creativity for Napoli who settled for the goalless draw against Fiorentina.

Dejan Stojanović played from the start for the Bologna primavera team and conceded two goals.  Bologna had the lead after the 27th minute but for the second consecutive game, Stojanović conceded two late goals and Bologna suffered a tough loss.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Mainz 05 – Borussia Dortmund 1:2
Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who suffered their third consecutive loss in league play.  Mainz conceded the game winning goal in the 90th minute when a long range shot from a Borussia Dortmund player was seen late by the Mainz keeper who could not prevent the shot from reaching the back of the net for a tough loss.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Dynamo Kyiv – Shakhtar Donetsk 0:0
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Dynamo Kyiv who settled for a goalless draw against heated rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in the big Ukrainian derby.  Popov came close to scoring in the 22nd minute but his header following a corner kick went just over the goal.  Goran also showed nice skill in the 47th minute when he got past several Shakhtar Donetsk players with nice dribbles before finding Andriy Shevchenko whose cross towards goal was cleared by the opposing team for a corner.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Vorskla – Volyn Lutsk 3:1
Vance Sikov played the entire game for Volyn Lutsk in their road loss against Vorskla.  Volyn was hurt by the fact that one of their players received a red card in the 56th minute.

Besart Ibraimi played all 90 minutes for Sevastopol but the attack could not break down the Nyva defense and the match ended in a goalless draw.

Aleksandar Trajkovski started on the bench for Zulte Waregem before he entered the game in the 78th minute replacing Teddy Chevalier.

Edin Nuredinoski played from the start for Ethnikos Achnas and conceded two goals while his teammate Stojan Ignjatov was an unused substitute.  Nuredinoski made two comfortable saves in the 1st half but he conceded the two goals in the 78th and 90th minute after Ethnikos Achnas initially took the lead in the 28th minute.  AEK Larnaca capitalized on the one man advantage after the visitors had a player sent off in the 72nd minute.

Ilco Naumoski started for Mattersburg and played until the 87th minute when he was replaced by Robert Waltner.  Naumoski scored a goal in the 26th minute with a volley following a corner kick but the goal was disallowed as the referee whistled a foul on Naumoski for making contact with his marker in the box.  Naumoski had another attempt in the 53rd minute but his shot from about 20 meters was saved by the opposing keeper and it went for a corner.

Muhamed Demiri got the start for Thun and played until the 80th minute when he was replaced by Andreas Wittwer.  A minute after the substitution, Thun scored the equalizing goal to record a point against the defending Swiss champions.

Darko Tofiloski played from the start for Košice and conceded two goals.  Tofiloski made a huge blunder on the first goal by Slovan Bratislava in the 51st minute.  Tofiloski did redeem himself as he made two fine saves in the 70th and 84th minute but his club still suffered a narrow road loss against the defending Slovak champions.
