Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz who suffered their third consecutive loss in league play. Mainz conceded the game winning goal in the 90th minute when a long range shot from a Borussia Dortmund player was seen late by the Mainz keeper who could not prevent the shot from reaching the back of the net for a tough loss.

Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Dynamo Kyiv who settled for a goalless draw against heated rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in the big Ukrainian derby. Popov came close to scoring in the 22nd minute but his header following a corner kick went just over the goal. Goran also showed nice skill in the 47th minute when he got past several Shakhtar Donetsk players with nice dribbles before finding Andriy Shevchenko whose cross towards goal was cleared by the opposing team for a corner.

Vance Sikov played the entire game for Volyn Lutsk in their road loss against Vorskla. Volyn was hurt by the fact that one of their players received a red card in the 56th minute.
