Macedonian internationals performances (13-16.04 ’18)

Mirko Ivanovski scored 2 goals,  Muhamed Useini, Daniel Mojsov and Marko Simonovski scored a goal each, while Mario Gjurovski and Stefan Ristovski provided an assist apiece.

AFC Champions League, Al-Hilal – Esteghlal 0:1
Bojan Najdenov got to play only the closing moments as he came in instead Mame Baba Thiam in the 89th minute. With this win his team secured the first place and advanced in the knock-out stage.

Albania, Kategoria Superiore, Lushnja – Flamurtari 0:2
Artim Polozhani, Goran Siljanovski and Fisnik Zuka started for Flamurtari, Muhamed Useini came off the bench in the 64th minute, while Muarem Muarem didn’t play. The visitors opened the score in the 40th minute thanks to a goal by Serbian international Igor Nedeljković who is a former player of Sileks. In the 87th minute Useini confirmed the victory with a shot from close range.

Demir Imeri didn’t play for the visitors.

Valon Ethemi opened on the hosts bench and was introduced in the 60th minute, while Besart Abdurahimi played from the 54th minute for Partizani. Meanwhile, Egzon Belica, Alban Sulejmani and Emran Ramadani didn’t play for the visitors.

Daniel Georgievski played the entire game at left-back for Newcastle as his team collected three points on the road in an unbelievable high-scoring game. Daniel played a role in the opening goal as he passed the ball to the player who was credited with the assist.

Yani Urdinov made the start for the hosts and played until the 51st minute when he was sent off the pitch due to his second yellow card of the game. At that point his team was already one goal down and the visitors netted two more goals in stoppage time to grab three points on the road.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League play-off I, Charleroi – Genk 2:2
After two consecutive starts, this time Gjoko Zajkov spent all minutes on Charleroi’s bench.

Jovan Kostovski opened at center-forward for Leuven and played 66 minutes in the win away to Waasland-Beveren. This was Jovan’s first start after eight months, but it wasn’t surprising as he netted one goal apiece in the two previous games.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, BH Telecom Premijer Liga, Sloboda – Borac 1:0
Aleksandar Lazevski started at left-back for Sloboda and was 90 minutes part of a defense that kept a clean sheet. Thanks to this win Aleksandar’s team is a big step closer to one more season in the Bosnian top tier.

Krste Velkoski played all minutes in attack for Sarajevo, while his teammate Marjan Altiparmakovski didn’t play. Eventually, the game ended in a goalless draw.

Bulgaria, Parva Liga, Lokomotiv Plovdiv – Etar 1:0
Vancho Trajanov was an unused substitute for the hosts.

Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga, Lokomotiva – Slaven Belupo 5:2
Both Macedonian internationals, Mirko Ivanovski and Tome Kitanovski, played all minutes for Slaven. Mirko netted a brace in a span of just six minutes to equalize the score, but unfortunately Lokomotiva added three goals in the second half to gain three points. Furthermore, Ivanovski received a yellow card in the 22nd minute.

Muzafer Ejupi opened at center-forward and played until the 58th minute. The hosts had a 0:0 at that point, but eventually were able to score two goals and thus collect three points.

Samir Fazli played the entire game for the hosts, while Leonard Zhuta also played all minutes, but in defense for Rijeka. In the end, Rudeš gained three points. Meanwhile, Leo’s teammate Milan Ristovski didn’t play.

Armend Dalipi wasn’t called up by Cibalia, while Arijan Ademi was an unused substitute for Dinamo.

Both Daniel Mojsov and Ivan Trichkovski played the whole match for the visiting side. A Macedonian put his name in the score sheet but it was not Trichko who we are more often used to see as a scorer. It was in fact the defender Mojsov who has scored an excellent goal that can be seen at 0:50 in the video below.

We did not see a Macedonian keepers derby in Finland as Davor Taleski remained on the bench for the home side, while Damjan Shishkovski played the whole match for the visiting side. Shishkovski saved his side from a defeat when he saved a penalty in the 84th minute.

David Babunski started and played until the 59th minute when Ippei Shinozuka took his place. That happened a minute after his team took the lead, a goal in which he participated as he run with the ball across the field. Unfortunately the visitors later scored twice to claim the points.
