Italy, Serie A, Inter – Fiorentina 3:1
Goran Pandev started on the bench for Inter before he entered the game in the 58th minute replacing Samuel Eto’o. Pandev continued his disappointing season with another subpar performance. He is playing with a lack of confidence and it seems playing as a defensive winger under former Inter managerJosé Mourinho has ruined Pandev who has lost all sense of scoring goals and looks nothing like the player he was at Lazio.
Germany, 1.Bundesliga, Schalke 04 – Mainz 05 1:3
Nikolce Noveski played the entire game for Mainz and scored his second goal of the season in the 85th minute. Mainz took a short corner and the ball reached Lewis Holtby who then made a good low cross that was met by Noveski who scored an easy goal from close range. With the win, Mainz guaranteed itself a position in the Europa League as they will not finish lower than 5th on the table. They could even finish 4th if they can beat St. Pauli in the final round next week and Hannover either loses or draws against Nürnberg.

Germany, 1.Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt – Köln 0:2
Both Aleksandar Vasoski and Oka Nikolov were unused substitutes for Eintracht Frankfurt who continued their struggles with a devastating home loss against Köln. This was a winnable game for Eintracht considering they were playing at home against another underachieving team but they suffered another loss and dropped to 17th on the table out of 18 teams. There is only one league game remaining in the Bundesliga and it doesn’t get any easier for Eintracht as their final game is on the road against champions Borussia Dortmund. The only positive for Eintracht is that Borussia Dortmund already clinched the title and may not field their strongest team but Eintracht will need a lot of luck to avoid relegation.
Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Karpaty – Dynamo Kyiv 1:2
Martin Bogatinov played from the start for Karpaty and conceded two goals while Goran Popov started at LB for Dynamo Kyiv and played all 90 minutes. Bogatinov was not at fault on the first goal for Dynamo Kyiv in the 32nd minute as Oleh Gusev scored on a well placed header but Bogatinov should have done better on the second goal in the 53rd minute when he left his goal in order to clear the ball but he missed the ball on his sliding effort and the ball reached Croatian Ognjen Vukojević who scored into an empty net. Bogatinov did make amends when he made two very good saves in the 84th and 85th minute to keep his team in the game but Karpaty could not score the equalizing goal and suffered a narrow home loss. As for Popov, he made a very good defensive play in the 23rd minute when Karpaty seemed to have a great scoring opportunity but Popov outmuscled his marker Răzvan Cociş before he distracted the charging William Batista by reaching the ball just before Batista could unleash a shot from a dangerous position. Popov also attempted a free kick from distance in the 83rd minute but his powerful shot lacked accuracy and went over the goal.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Sevastopol – Obolon 3:1
Besart Ibraimi started for Sevastopol and played until the 90th minute when he was replaced by Andriy Shevchuk. Ibraimi was named man of the match and there was good reason for that as he played a part in all three goals by scoring two goals and being directly involved in the third goal. The first two goals for Ibraimi in the 10th and 30th minute were pretty similar as Ibraimi showed good understanding with his teammate Igor Duljaj who provided both assists with clever through balls which Ibraimi reached and he showed good finishing skills both times by scoring calmly past the opposing keeper. Ibraimi almost scored a hat-trick in the 49th minute when his sliding effort from close range was saved nicely by the Obolon keeper but his teammate Andriy Kiva scored on the rebound to give Sevastopol an important three points.
