Shkendija’s duel against Metalurg ended in a goalless draw. Much more was expected from this game, but none of the teams were able to score. Overall, Metalurg had more threatening chances, some of them in the dying minutes, however no player managed to overcome Shkendija’s goalkeeper Marko Jovanovski. Worth mentioning are the red cards given to Shkendija’s Nuriman Ismaili and Metalurg’s Bojan Gjorgievski, the former left the field after elbowing an opponent, the latter after a bad tackle.

Pelister and Turnovo shared the points in their game with three red cards. Defenders Tome Kitanovski and Hristijan Dragarski were sent off on the home side, while Turnovo’s central back Dean Mitrev also saw red by the referee. After this result, both teams remain unbeaten with 7 points after three rounds.

Gostivar unexpectedly defeated Rabotnichki by scoring two goals and keeping a clean sheet. Rabotnicki made some good transfers in the last couple of weeks and has hopes of reaching one of the top three spots in the league, thus playing again internationally after two years abstention.  However, Gostivar came out on the winning end today.

Gorno Lisiche collected all three points away against Makedonija GjP. Alen Jasharoski was the man of the match as he scored Gorno Lisiche’s lone goal in the 44th minute of the first half.

Napredok lost three points at home as the game against Bregalnica Shtip ended 0:2. The goals were scored by attacker Lazar Iliev in the 68th minute and offensive midfielder Goran Zdravkov ten minutes later. One minute before the second goal, Napredok’s defender Kushtrim Balazhi was sent off by the referee. It is more than obvious that Napredok will be battling to avoid relegation.

Vardar and Renova, meanwhile, shared the points in a 1:1 draw to mark the last game of the round played tonight.
