Macedonian First League – Round 29

First League Vardar is back on top of the table after Round 29 after Horizont Turnovo and Shkendija shared the points.

Vardar defeated Renova easily and got back on the top of the table, after Horizont Turnovo and Shkendija shared the points in the opening match of Round 29.

With a brace of goals by Kostovski and one more by Petrov, Vardar was already 3:0 up after the first half and all Renova was able to do in the second half was a consolation goal by Emini.

Pelister suffered a heavy defeat at home today, against Sileks. Although the visiting team is one leg down in the second league, they played a perfect match in Bitola and deservedly got the three points. Georgiev had an amazing day, scoring 4 goals for his Sileks, while the home team only managed to score two. Although Pelister had more chances in the opening 15 minutes, it was Sileks who opened the scoreline when Georgiev successfully converted a penalty. At the same time, Pelister’s Toni Maglovski was sent off and Pelister had tough time playing with a player less. Georgiev doubled the score in the 30th minute, while Pelister managed to pull one back through defender Leskaroski before the end of the first half. However, things did not improve in the second half for the home team and Georgiev kept on scoring, adding two more goals to his tally. Milenkovski managed to score one more for Pelister in the dying minutes but it was all in vain eventually.

Metalurg defeated Napredok and is only three points behind the first place now, while the Kichevo team keeps losing games. Krstev and Ignatov scored the goals for the home team. The result was identical both in Skopje and in Shtip, where Rabotnichki and Bregalnica defeated Drita and Teteks, respectively.
