Pelister beat Vardar in the Derby of Macedonia, Turnovo and Metalurg took over the top, Shkendija and Renova draw in the small Tetovo derby.
Five years Pelister waited to win against Vardar in Skopje. Finaly the Green&Whites yesterday broke that bad tradition, beating the title holders with a lone penalty goal in the biggest Macedonian derby. After a goalless first half, few minutes into the second, Aleksandar Temelkov played with hand in the box after Pelister took a corner. Ilir Elmazovski succesfully converted the penalty, bringing the visitors the lead, which later happened to be the final result. Last time Pelister celebrated in Skopje on 26 April 2008 with 1:3.
Today, both Horizont Turnovo and Metalurg, who were just 2 points behind Vardar, beat their rivals and took over the table top. Turnovo destroyed Drita, winning with 4:0. A brace by Baldovaliev, one goal by Vasilev and captain Blazhevski and Turnovo is now leading the table. Metalurg celebrated a 2:0 win over Sileks. After 0:0 at half-time, Churlinov and Serbian international Stevanović in just 4 minute scored two goals breaking Sileks’ defence. Later Churlinov added one more. Metalurg and Turnovo are now tied at the top, while Vardar is third with a point less.
In the small derby of Tetovo, Shkendija and Renova shared the points. Emini brought Renova the lead in the 32nd minute, but their joy lasted for only two minutes as Croatian international Čirjak levelled the score.
The other two games also ended in draws. Napredok and Teteks played a goalless draw, while Rabotnichki and Bregalnica Shtip scored one each. Ilijoski with his 5th seasonal goal opened the score, while Zdravkov brought a point for the visitors in the second half.
